3.1. Why isn't my domain working?

If you purchased your domain with Weebly, everything is automatically setup, so you probably just need to publish your site.

The custom domain name feature (Option C: I already own a domain) allows you to setup your Weebly site with a domain name you've already registered through another registrar, such as GoDaddy.  In most cases, the underlying cause of a problem with this option is an incorrectly setup A-Record for your domain.  To properly configure an existing domain name registered outside of Weebly, please click on the links for a step-by-step description of the process:

Set up a GoDaddy Domain

Set up a 1&1 Domain

Set up domains through other registrars

If your A-Record is properly setup, upon visiting your domain, you should see your published Weebly website or will see a Weebly branded 404 page if you site is not yet published.  If you see any other type of page, your A-Record is not properly setup.

Note that it can take 12-24 hours for DNS (A-Record) updates to propagate through the internet.
