2.8. Embed Documents into your Site

Scribd's "iPaper" allows you to transform PDF, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and many other file formats into an embeddable document that you can insert directly into your Weebly site for easy viewing.  

For example:

1. First, visit www.scribd.com, click on the upload button, and choose the file/s you want to display on your Weebly site. 

2. After your file/s have been chosen, you'll then be prompted to sign up for an account:

3. OPTIONAL: Describe & categorize your document.  Then press the "Save Changes" button.

4. Copy the document embed code.  You can uncheck "Include link to document at top of embed" if you'd prefer.

5. Drag on a Weebly "Custom HTML" element to the location on your site where you'd like the document embedded.

6. Click on the text "Click to set custom HTML" and then click on the "Edit Custom HTML" link in the "Element Options" toolbar you'll see above.

7. The custom HTML text area will become editable so you can paste the embed code that you copied from Scribd.

8. Click outside the custom HTML box to save the code and display your new document!
