2.13. Configure a Domain - GoDaddy

1. First login to GoDaddy.

2. On the main menu, click on the "Domain Manager" link in the toolbar on the left side of the screen.

3. Click on the domain name you are configuring.

4. Click on the "Total DNS Control" link.

Note: If, under “Total DNS” you see a message that says “DNS not hosted here”, proceed to these instructions.

5. Delete all existing A-Records and the CNAME with host "www".

6. Setup two new A-Records as follows:

• For the first A-Record, set the host to "@" and the points to IP address to "199.34.228.100"

• For the second A-Record, set the host to "www" and the points to IP address to "199.34.228.100"

Note: It can take up to 24-48 hours (although usually less) for these changes to take effect. 

Check to see that your domain is correctly configured by clicking here.

You'll know your domain is ready once it directs you to a Weebly branded 404 page.

Once this occurs, just login to edit your Weebly site, click into the "settings" tab, "choose site address", and input "www.yourdomain.com" into Option C.  If by chance, it says there is a problem, press continue anyway and republish the site.
