2.5. Add Google Analytics

We offer basic statistics with Weebly, but Google Analytics is a free tool used to analyze your website traffic in more depth. 

You're able to see:

- How many unique visitors & pageviews your site receives
- Where visitors are coming from (search engines, sites linking to yours, etc.)
- How long visitors stay
- What keywords they use to find your site
- Technical information about their computer (resolution, operating system, etc.)

1. To add Google Analytics to your site, first signup and add your site (ex. http://example.weebly.com) to the account.

2. Copy the block of tracking code provided.

3. Login to the Weebly site you want to be tracked by Google Analytics. 

4. Under the "Settings" tab of the editor, paste the Google Analytics code into the "footer code" section (this is within the "Search Engine Optimization" area):

NOTE: This is not the footer message section within "General Settings".

5. Save the settings and republish your website.

Google will now begin tracking the traffic to your website.  Please note that there is a delay between when you add the code to your website and when it will start showing information in Google Analytics.
