Home → Weebly Help → USING THE WEEBLY EDITOR → Site Settings
1.7. Site Settings
Address:
This area displays your current website addresss. Click on "change site address" in order to change your website address to a different sub-domain of weebly.com, upgrade to your own domain name, or configure and existing domain name with Weebly. For more information, see publishing.
Site Title:
This name will be placed at the top of your website as the site title. To hide the site title from displaying on your pages, uncheck the option and republish your site.
Site Password (a feature of Weebly's Pro)
Here you can set a password for your site to protect unauthorized viewers from seeing the content. For more information on this feature, check out using password protection.
Footer Message (a feature of Weebly's Pro)
Here you can remove the default "Create a free website with Weebly" message and replace it with a message of your choosing.
Site Description:
Enter a brief description of your website here. This text will appear below your site title in search engine listings.
Meta Keywords:
Enter keywords (separated by commas) which describe your website content. It is questioned whether search engines still place weight on meta keywords (due to abuse), but it doesn't hurt to add them.
Footer Code:
The footer code section will place the inputted code right before the closing </body> tag on your website. This is most commonly used to add Google Analytics to your site for more detailed statistics.
Archive:
To download a .zip archive/backup of your site, simply click on the link and save it to your computer.
(please note: if you have a blog on your site, it will not work when exported to the .zip file because it relies on Weebly's database)
Un-Publish:
To un-publish your site, click on the un-publish link and confirm. Your site will still be available for editing, but will not be visible to website visitors.
